The display model is a replica of the self-propelled howitzer "Wespe." The Wespe was originally conceived as a stopgap solution with a production run of 676 units. However, this howitzer exceeded German expectations and was therefore widely used to support infantry. While the 5-man crew was not overwhelmingly protected, the vehicle posed a threat to Allied forces.

This is a detailed model kit in 1:35 scale. The high-quality kit from TAMIYA requires assembly by the user. The independent construction is accompanied by a step-by-step or illustrated assembly guide included in the package. Based on the instructions, the precisely fitting individual parts must be assembled. Painting of the parts can be done according to personal preferences. Tools, glue, and paints are not included in the plastic model kit and must be purchased separately.
