It rotates and can be played on from both sides. There are two learning modes: story time and learning time. It includes six story pages and six learning pages. On the story pages, fun stories are read aloud, and questions are asked about them. The learning pages expand on concepts from the story pages through various game modes. All pictures and terms can be touched. Pressing the illuminated button plays songs and specific sentences that match the opened page. The sensor detects whether the device is held horizontally (for stories) or vertically (for learning). Learning content includes words and reading, feelings, colors and shapes, nature and science, and outdoor play. It features an automatic shut-off, a child-proof battery compartment, and volume control. Demo batteries are included.
