The required air flow can be adjusted with the setting screw under the flow cup, making it easier for beginners and suitable for tasks that do not require variation over a longer period.

The same applies to the paint quantity regulation. It can be controlled normally with the trigger, or the setting screw at the end of the gun can be adjusted to prevent splattering. Turning in the setting screw limits the trigger pull and results in less paint flow. Turning back the setting screw allows for more paint flow up to normal use without limitation.
