On the island of the gluttonous monkeys, the harvest season for the beloved bananas has begun. Everyone wants to snack on the tastiest fruits in their own island realm – but not every crookedly grown treat is ripe for the picking. In three exciting rounds of play – one harvest season after another – the goal is to gather as many delicious bananas as possible. Therefore, several scuffles take place each season, where the ripest fruit bunches are contested. Players must cleverly decide which equally valuable coconuts to "sacrifice" to outmaneuver the competition. But it's not just the monkeys causing trouble for each other. Cunning parrots have also developed a taste for the fruit and try to snag a bit for themselves. The brawling continues until the last – sometimes already pitch-black and mushy – banana has found a highest bidder. Once all players have gathered their supplies, it's time to feast. However, in the first round, only overripe fruits may be eaten. Yellow and green bananas are stored as supplies and can only be consumed after the scuffles of the second and third harvest seasons. After the brawls of the third and final harvest season, the green bananas have also ripened into true delicacies. Now it becomes clear who has managed to keep too many unripe fruits at bay and instead secured only the best, winning banana bunches. "Ripe for the Island" is a cheeky card game for 3–6 players aged 8 and up, who spare no coconut to guide the tastiest bananas to where they belong: into their own mouths.
