Thermometer. Fever thermometer for oral, rectal, and axillary measurement. Measures with an accuracy of 0.1 °C. Features a signal tone at the end of measurement and automatic shut-off. Waterproof and disinfectable. Mercury-free and without glass. Includes a protective cap. Simple measurement of body temperature. With a fever thermometer, you can quickly and reliably determine whether your body temperature is normal, elevated, or even too low.
There are various body sites where you can measure your body temperature.
Oral measurement - Measurement under the tongue. Use the fever thermometer to measure your body temperature in the oral cavity. The best place for an oral measurement is under the tongue. Ensure that the tip of the thermometer is in contact with the tissue during the measurement. You should also avoid eating or drinking anything warm for ten minutes before the measurement to obtain an accurate result.
Rectal measurement - Measurement in the rectum. Perform the measurement rectally with the fever thermometer. This method provides an accurate and reliable result, especially for infants and children. Insert the fever thermometer up to two centimeters into the rectum. To avoid injury, you should lubricate the tip of the thermometer (e.g., with petroleum jelly). As a general rule, a temperature of 39 °C indicates a fever, and a temperature of 40 °C indicates high fever.
Axillary measurement - Measurement under the armpit. The most commonly used method for determining body temperature is measurement under the armpit. During the measurement, make sure to press your upper arm tightly against your body and try not to move to obtain an accurate result.
