Studies show that even good pomegranate juices are not equally well utilized by everyone, as the composition of the gut flora plays an important role. Selected microorganisms, whose use has a long tradition, can enhance bioactivity during live fermentation with their ferments (enzymes) – a kind of natural pre-digestion. In this process, they break down the fruit's own sugars. This method was developed in 2004 by Dr. L. M. Jacob and registered as an EU patent.

After fermentation, the pomegranate juice is freeze-dried, with water being removed under vacuum at a maximum temperature of 37 °C. This freeze-drying process results in a powder with a large surface area and good solubility. This greatly aids the absorption process, as only substances that are dissolved in digestive juices can be absorbed. Freeze-drying optimally preserves the freshness quality and the natural spectrum of plant substances.
