Studies show that even good pomegranate juices are not equally well utilized by everyone, as the composition of the gut flora plays an important role. Selected microorganisms, which have a long tradition of use, can enhance bioactivity during live fermentation with their enzymes, acting as a form of natural pre-digestion. They break down the natural sugars found in the fruit. This process was developed by Dr. L. M. Jacob in 2004 and registered as an EU patent.

After fermentation, the pomegranate juice is freeze-dried by removing water under vacuum at a maximum of 37 °C. This freeze-drying process results in a powder with a large surface area and good solubility. This greatly aids the absorption process, as only substances that are dissolved in digestive juices can be absorbed. Freeze-drying optimally preserves the freshness and the natural spectrum of plant compounds.
