With a digital motor that generates the Coanda effect due to its power, and intelligent temperature regulation that measures temperature up to 40 times per second, the Dyson AirwrapTM does not require extreme heat for styling. By combining the moisture in the hair, a strong airflow, and a temperature that is always kept below 150 °C, it can style and dry simultaneously.

Using the aerodynamic Coanda effect, the Dyson AirwrapTM creates a continuous airflow that generates curls, drawing your hair to the attachment and wrapping it. The curling attachment can be adjusted to spin in either direction, making it ideal for voluminous curls and waves.

The Dyson Smoothing Brushes utilize the Coanda effect to draw hair to the surface of the brush. Air is then distributed along the hair strands – the same blow-drying technique used by professional stylists.
