Highly absorbent foam dressing for normal and viscous exudate. The Mepilex XT foam dressing has been designed for moderately exuding wounds. It can retain larger amounts of fluid and absorbs fluid faster than other foam dressings. It is adaptable and versatile – you can use it to treat wounds with normal and viscous exudate during all phases of wound healing. Mepilex XT features our Safetac wound contact layer. Dressings with Safetac cause less damage to the wound and skin during dressing changes, as clinically proven. By sealing the wound edges, maceration is prevented. Less damage to the wound and skin means less pain during dressing changes.

Application

Mepilex XT is suitable for a wide range of acute and chronic exuding wounds in all phases of wound healing, such as foot and leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, and traumatic wounds. It is particularly effective for the absorption of highly viscous exudate.
