Mini-sclera lenses are larger than regular effect contact lenses, with a diameter of 17 mm, making your eyes – or rather your iris – appear particularly large. The contact lenses can be used multiple times over a period of 6 months and should be disposed of afterward. Please note that mini-sclera lenses should not be worn for more than 4 hours per day. Application instructions: Inserting mini-sclera contact lenses requires a bit more skill and experience than smaller lenses. If you have no experience with inserting contact lenses, we recommend visiting an optician or ophthalmologist for advice and assistance during your first insertion. In general, use your index finger, middle finger, and thumb to hold the mini-sclera lenses, as they may not stay on your fingertips due to their size. Ensure that the lenses are well moistened with contact lens solution. Gently slide the lens under your upper eyelid first. Then, pull down your lower eyelid and lightly press the lower edge of the lens. If insertion doesn’t work right away, just stay calm and practice a bit – with some experience, inserting mini-sclera lenses will become easier.
