This cuff is suitable for use on upper arms with a circumference of 22-32 cm and is compatible with the following Omron devices: M2 Basic, M2, M3. Please note: This cuff is not suitable for use with Comfort devices or devices that use the Intelli Wrap cuff from Omron.

Instructions for use | When the cuff is fitted correctly, the Velcro fastener is on the outside of the cuff loop and the metal ring does not touch your skin. When the cuff is open, pass the end of the cuff furthest away from the air tube through the metal ring to form a loop. The soft fabric should be on the inside of the cuff loop. - Remove any tight-fitting clothing from the upper arm. - Sit on a chair and place your feet flat on the floor. - Place your left arm in the cuff loop. The lower end of the cuff should be 1 - 2 cm above your elbow (width of your index or middle finger). The cuff should lie around your arm so that the tube runs along the centre of your arm in line with your middle finger (palm up and facing upwards). - Attach the cuff to your arm using the Velcro fastener. Pull on the cuff so that the upper and lower ends are evenly attached to your arm. - The cuff should be tight, but not too tight - just tight enough that it is difficult to slide 2 fingers under the cuff. This distance is essential for an accurate measurement. OMRON digital blood pressure monitors measure blood pressure using the oscillometric method, whereby the movement of the blood in the brachial artery is recorded and converted into digital readings. - Relax your arm and place your elbow on a table so that the cuff is at heart level. Turn your palm upwards. - Make sure that there are no kinks in the air tube. Make sure that you do not press on the air tube with your elbow when measuring the blood pressure. - Press the "O/I START" or "START" button to start the blood pressure measurement. |
