Product features:

UrgoClean Ag is a non-woven compress made of antimicrobial and hydro-cleaning polyacrylate fibers with a micro-adhesive TLC-Ag wound healing matrix (Ag = silver salt).

• Strong and sustained antimicrobial efficacy against a broad spectrum of pathogens (both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria), including Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

• Absorption and encapsulation of fibrinous exudates.

• Reduction of the bacterial population in a biofilm within 24 hours (tested in vitro on S. aureus and P. aeruginosa).

• Atraumatic and painless dressing changes.

Indications:
Exuding chronic wounds (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers) and acute wounds (burns, traumatic wounds, postoperative wounds) with the risk or signs of local infection.

Application:

• UrgoClean Ag can be cut with sterile scissors to adjust the size of the dressing to the wound.

• Cover UrgoClean Ag with a secondary dressing tailored to the location and level of exudation of the wound, if necessary (e.g., with UrgoSuperabsorber or UrgoSuperSuperabsorber).

• Secure UrgoClean Ag with a fixation bandage (e.g., Urgomull haft latex-free or Urgoderm Stretch).

• UrgoClean Ag can also be used in combination with compression therapy (e.g., UrgoK2).

• Wear time is 1 to 2 days.

• The maximum treatment duration with UrgoClean Ag is one month.

Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to silver. Do not use UrgoClean Ag as a surgical compress on heavily bleeding wounds. Do not use UrgoClean Ag in combination with hydrogen peroxide, organomercurial antiseptics, or hexamidine. Remove the dressing from the patient during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations.
