The Hanwag Fjäll is a typical winter boot with a classic Nordic look. It features a GORE-TEX ultra-thin and lightweight membrane made of stretched, microporous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which is very breathable and durably waterproof. The HANWAG IceGrip sole is a winter composite sole that performs well even on black ice. It has a special rubber compound in the relevant tread zones with fine glass particles that grip the ice surface, acting like sandpaper.

The boot is made from high-quality cowhide sourced from the German tannery Heinen, with the tanning process adhering to strict ecological guidelines and compensating for all CO2 emissions.
