The warp and weft made from spun threads provide a moderate weight and promise a characteristic pepper-and-salt texture as the denim ages, revealing clear weaving lines in the stressed areas.
Achieved through 20 dips in pure indigo, the darkest and most saturated shade from Kaihara adorns the warp threads, the key feature of the Dry Japan Selvedge.
