The launch of Season 2 of Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard is coming up: the unlock is scheduled for February 14. A few days before the launch, the developers from Sledgehammer Games and Raven have published the roadmap to the upcoming free content. In Call of Duty Warzone, you will be able to spot two new locations on the Caldera map: a chemical factory and a research facility. According to the roadmap, Rebirth Reinforced will be added with the mid-season update.
New game modes and bombers in Warzone
At the start of Season 2, you'll also have a blast in the new game mode Caldera Clash: Here, two teams of 48 players each will dive into a deathmatch in quads with "wild events and power-ups." According to the developers, players can expect an evolution of "Clash on Verdansk '84." Operators begin matches with a self-created loadout that can include all weapons from Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. The mode comes with three power-ups, contracts, buy stations Domination Capture and special High Value Target events.
The Rebirth Iron Trials mode has also been announced for later in Season 2. The variant developed by Beenox is based on Iron Trials '84 and comes as a Battle Royale mode. A number of rule changes await you here, which are intended specifically for the hardcore players in the community. Another new feature is the bomber plane, which you can use to take over the skies above Caldera. The bombers can destroy the loadout drops, which should make it much more difficult for enemy operators to use this type of weapon source.
Vanguard with new maps
In Call of Duty Vanguard, on the other hand, you'll enter the fray on the new maps Gondola and Casablanca to unlock the Season 2 update. While the medium-sized Casablanca map is set in a marketplace in Morocco, on Gondola you can choose to use the available gondolas to move around the new map. In the game modes, you'll henceforth make up Ranked Play in a beta version: League rules, skill ratings, and new competitive rewards await you here. Later in the season, Arms Race and Vehicles will launch, focusing on motorcycles, squad vehicles and tanks. The Jeep Gamma comes into play as a new vehicle (later in the Season).

New in Zombies Mode
Fans of the Zombies mode will also receive plenty of new content. For example, the new map Terra Maledicta, set in the eastern desert of Egypt, will be available for the Season 2 launch on February 14. "Open accesses to new arenas, including the Dark Aether and a completely new location for Vanguard Zombies," the developers share about the roadmap. Besides the Eastern Desert, "Corrupted Lands" and "Hall of Truth" are also waiting for you as new areas. The new wonder weapons include the Ray Gun and the Decimator Shield.
New Operators, Weapons and Perks
Rounding out Season 2 in Warzone and Call of Duty Vanguard are three new weapons: KG M40 (fully automatic assault rifle), Whitley (LMG) and an ice axe (later in the Season). At launch, the two operators Anna and Thomas are also available, and later Gustavo joins the fights. The new perks include Mechanic and Armory. Mechanic, for example, provides a buff to the recharge time for field upgrades. Bug fixes and optimizations are also expected with the updates. The specific patch notes should be released around launch. It remains to be seen how the new features will be received by the players. Recently, Warzone players mainly criticized the technology. Currently, almost no day goes by without a new bug or glitch being reported in the BR shooter.
