Count sperm

I came across a fertility tracker at Galaxus that I can use to count my sperm. I almost tested it.
Our family planning is complete, my daughter has recently become a teenager. Neither my wife nor I want any more children. And my daughter is happy the way things are. That's why I have time for other activities. Surfing the Internet is one of them. And that's when I stumbled across this product.

With the fertility tracker for men, I can test my sperm count and the quality of my swimmers. In a fit of overconfidence, I get myself one of these tests. If I can believe the manufacturer, I simply fill a collection cup quickly and a minute later I know: stallion or gelding. So I toy with the idea of parting with a few millilitres of body fluid and get one of the cups ready. A terrible thought suddenly flashes through my mind: what if it looks like this on me?

At my biblical age, definitely a possibility. Oh, what am I saying? Of course it is, I don't have to kid myself. My days as a stallion are over, the gelding is comfortably grazing in the pasture. Besides, for the reasons mentioned above, it doesn't matter any more. So I pack up the cup again.
Infertile - but not me
Fertility and family planning: this topic still seems to be a women's issue today. The next stop is the gynaecologist if the desire to have children remains unfulfilled. In Switzerland, this affects 10 to 15 per cent of couples. And the trend is rising. In two out of three cases, we men are partly responsible for reduced fertility if the nursery remains empty and is used as an office for years on end. The clatter of computer keys instead of children's laughter.

Until now, I've always thought lifestyle was a major reason we shoot blanks. Smoking, alcohol and so on. However, the most common cause is varicocele. Varicose veins that form along the spermatic cord and epididymis. Varicose veins in the crotch? No man wants to read about that, let alone write about it. And especially not discuss the topic with his partner. Honey, how are your varicose veins in the scrotum? Man shrouds this in silence. Could it be that this is why we terribly infertile men send women to the doctor when they can't conceive?
