Huawei launches the Mate 50 Pro worldwide
Less than a month after its launch in China, Huawei has announced its intention to sell the Mate 50 Pro worldwide. However, you will have to do without satellite connections.
Just before the iPhone 14 was unveiled, the Mate 50 Pro with a satellite connection caused a stir. The global version of the smartphone, however, remains on Earth in terms of connectivity. It does not support the Chinese Beidou satellite system

No satellite connection, EMUI instead of Harmony OS and 4G only
An important change concerns the pre-installed software. Instead of the in-house operating system Harmony OS 3.0, Huawei is relying on EMUI 13 for the global version of the Mate 50 Pro. In short: Android without Google services, with a user interface that is very similar to Harmony OS.
The rest of the equipment with XMage camera system with variable aperture and 50-megapixel main and 64-megapixel telephoto camera remains. The same goes for the slimmed-down Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which only offers 4G.... The US sanctions against Huawei ensure that the manufacturer is not allowed to use the conventional 5G variant. Also a consequence of the sanctions is that instead of Gorilla Glass, the lesser-known Kunlun Glass, protects the 6.74-inch OLED display.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro is said to be released globally in silver and black and has eight gigabytes of RAM. For 256 gigabytes of internal storage, Huawei is quoting 1299 euros and for 512 gigabytes 1399 euros as prices for guidance. However, prices may vary depending on the country. This also applies to availability, for which there is no detailed information yet.
