Pastel, portable, cordless: these table lamps go everywhere with you
Table lamps are usually placed near the socket. And not where they look best. Cordless rechargeable lamps change that - and no longer look like emergency solutions from the campsite.
I have picked out these cordless table lamps of the season from the Galaxus range. They come in pastel shades and light colours that blend into living spaces without hiding. All of them can also be taken outside. However, only those with IP certification should be permanently exposed to the weather. Which ones these are is indicated in each case.
1. pink, round, recycled
30 hours of runtime, 1 to 2 hours of charging - that's the best battery balance in this round. The fact that the «Beam» from Kreafunk is also made from 100 per cent recycled plastic and comes in Dusty Rose makes it a wolf in pink fur. Its brightness can be dimmed continuously using a touch sensor. And the removable base allows you to turn the lamp in any direction.

Thanks to IPX4, it is protected against splashing water from all directions. However, you should not expose it to heavy rain or a surge of water.

2. small but durable
The «Lito» from Blomus is one of the most compact lights in this selection and, with a battery life of almost 48 hours, the endurance athlete of the round. The muted green colour is somewhere between sage and mint: fresh, but not overpowering. The touch dimmer allows the light colour to be changed between warm white (2700 Kelvin) and neutral white (4500 Kelvin). It is ready for use again after 5 hours on the magnetic micro USB cable. IP54 makes it weatherproof.

130 lumens is not a floodlight. The «Lito» is a mood light, not a work light. And at 2.5 kilos, it is surprisingly heavy for its size.
3. with structure
Mouth-blown glass with a ribbed surface: the «Ripple Portable Lamp» from Ferm Living is the craftswoman in this round. The opaque glass gently diffuses the light and creates a warm glow that works just as well on the dining table as on the patio. A CRI value of over 90 (colour rendering index: the higher the value, the more true-to-life the colours appear) promises particularly faithful colour rendering. Four brightness levels via touch dimmer, IP44 protection and a magnetic charging cable round off the package.

The battery life of 8 hours is enough for a long evening. However, if you plug it back in immediately afterwards, you will have to wait just as long until it is full.
4. simple and underestimated
The «Leros» by Spanish label Kave Home is the pragmatist among the ten: a steel frame with a polyethylene diffuser, simple silhouette, beige. No drama, no design attitude. But USB-C charging, an optional remote control and the option to adjust the colour temperature and intensity directly on the base. «Leros» is also available in a larger size.

If you're looking for a lamp with more drama - the «Leros» is also available in red.
5. understated, but present
The «Low» from Hübsch is characterised by its restraint. The light blue colour is pastel enough to blend in, but striking enough to stand out. Glass and iron lend it a heaviness that you wouldn't necessarily expect from cordless luminaires, while at the same time giving it an air of solidity. With 3000 Kelvin, it bathes the room in warm white light - pleasant for long evenings, as long as the battery keeps up. The IP44 protection withstands splashing water, so it also cuts a fine figure on the patio.

If you switch on the «Low» early in the evening and go to bed late, you'll reach the battery life limit of 6 hours in no time, especially in summer.
6. with curves
Sage green, spool-shaped, unmistakable: the Addison light is the most extravagant of the selection. Even when the light is off, it makes a visual impact with its high-gloss lacquer and curvy silhouette. At 30 centimetres high, it has table lamp format and the three brightness levels can be changed by touch. At the brightest level, the battery lasts up to 10 hours and recharging takes around 8 hours via the USB-C cable supplied. Also available in other delicate shades such as light blue or pink.

The many layers of paint need to be cared for: This light prefers to stay inside.
7. with power of attraction
The «Host Portable Lamp 300» from Hay looks like it has never taken a wrong step. Creamy white, clean lines, Scandinavian understatement. The integrated magnet makes it the most flexible lamp in this list - it adheres directly to metal surfaces, for all others a steel base is included. 2700 Kelvin warm white light, 113 lumens, touch dimmer, IP44 and at least 16 hours battery life with 6 hours charging time via USB-C characterise this model.

If you want to illuminate the dining table, you need extra light. Because 113 lumens are only enough for atmospheric light.
8. clever thinking
The «Grasp» from Frandsen is the largest in this round and rethinks cordless lighting. Instead of permanently installed LEDs, it relies on the in-house «Frandsen One» system: the light source can be removed and charged separately while a charged replacement source is inserted. No waiting, no interruption. The white metal housing is timeless and the design by Thomas Albertsen is inspired by classic pendant luminaires. With a protection class of IP44, it is made for indoors and outdoors.

The catch: a replacement light source is needed for the trick to really work. But this is not included in the scope of delivery.
9. iconic
Verner Panton's design from the 1960s is one of the icons of Scandinavian design, and the portable version makes the original moveable. The matt bright red is one of the more unusual colour options, but there are also more subtle ones in white or soft pastel shades. The acrylic material is lighter than it looks, and the integrated diffuser ensures even light. Three brightness levels, USB-C charging, around 5 hours of light at the highest level and 3 hours until fully charged.

The price is considerable: the «Panthella» is considerably more expensive than the previous models. Anyone looking for a lamp with history and design aspirations will be happy to pay this price. Those who simply need light should look elsewhere.
10. everything round here
A luminous ring that casts warm light into the room as a «Halo» - the «Hoopik» from Fermob rethinks table lamps. The light grey is the most inconspicuous thing about it, making its appearance all the more of a talking point. Touch dimmer, adjustable light temperature, weatherproof aluminium and polycarbonate. And because Fermob specialises in outdoor furniture, weather resistance has also been considered here.

IP42 is the minimum in this round. Well suited for covered outdoor areas, less suitable for unprotected terraces in bad weather.
