Sony officially unveils the Playstation VR2 - including "Horizon Zero Dawn" spinoff

At CES in Las Vegas, Sony revealed new details about the Playstation VR glasses. In addition to the official name, these include further specifications and an exclusive game in the "Horizon" universe.
Sony will stick with virtual reality for the current generation of consoles. The new hardware was officially named Playstation VR2 at the tech trade show CES. The device could not be seen, but there was some new information.
The PSVR2 has an OLED display with 2000 x 2040 pixels per eye including HDR. The refresh rate is up to 120 hertz and the field of view is 110 degrees. The headset also features eye tracking and can thus determine where the user is looking. For example, the central viewing area can be displayed in more detail than the rest - which could save resources.

Haptic feedback is also available, as is 3D audio. The connection to the console has also been simplified. Now you only need a single USB-C cable.
The VR2 Sense controllers were unveiled last year. A few new facts have been revealed about them.

"Horizon" game in VR
The most exciting might be the PSVR2-exclusive game "Horizon Call of the Mountain." This is a spin-off of the "Horizon" franchise, which will continue as a non-VR game with "Horizon Forbidden West" in March.
No launch date or price was mentioned.

As a child, I wasn't allowed to have any consoles. It was only with the arrival of the family's 486 PC that the magical world of gaming opened up to me. Today, I'm overcompensating accordingly. Only a lack of time and money prevents me from trying out every game there is and decorating my shelf with rare retro consoles.
