Another Breaking Bad movie trailer – and finally one that reveals unseen scenes. Also, Robert De Niro rejuvenated via CGI, the long-awaited Frozen sequel and the beginnings of the Kingsman secret service in «The King’s Man». Welcome to exciting episode of Trailer Tuesday.

New week, new trailers.

And this week, there’s a world premiere among them – right at the very beginning. Any other movies you shouldn’t miss? Read on to find out.

El Camino: Breaking Bad

The first trailer hat-trick in the history of our Trailer Tuesday episodes? I think so. Two weeks ago I mentioned the first teaser, last week another teaser followed and now an actual trailer has been released.

It didn’t sweep me off my feet, but I’m absolutely going to watch the Breaking Bath sequel anyway. There’s no way I'm going to miss out on this.

Start date: 11 October 2019, Netflix

Fractured

At last, Sam Worthington is back. After «Avatar», the Australian actor looked like he was going to be Hollywood's next big action hero. He did indeed star in «Terminator 4» and «Escape Plan» – but then he disappeared and was only seen in small film productions or here and there in a supporting role as in in Mel Gibson's «Hacksaw Ridge».

In «Fractured», he plays Ray Monroe, a husband and dad whose daughter has to be taken to the emergency room after an accident. She's transferred to a different room to do scans – and disappears. Nobody in the hospital knows where she is. Even worse: everyone denies that Ray ever took her to hospital.

Yep, sounds a lot like «Flight Plan» with Jodie Foster. But hey, it’s Sam Worthington. That's reason enough for me to watch the movie.

Start date: 11 October 2019, Netflix

The Irishman

Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci: three cinema legends who star in the latest film by directing legend Martin Scorsese. This is so legendary that it occurs to me that these four gentlemen were already old when I was a child. Now they're even older – and still amazingly good.

What’s the movie about? It’s about post-war America: Frank Sheeran (Robert De Niro), an Irish World War II veteran who became a mafioso and hitman, works with some of the most notorious personalities of the 20th century. One of them was Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino), a labour leader with links to organised crime. He disappeared under mysterious circumstances that remain unexplained to this day.

Oh and: the film will be shown in selected cinemas for a few weeks. For the sole purpose of being eligible for an Oscar nomination. And there's no doubt it will be nominated, with so many legends involved.

Release date in Swiss cinemas: 1 November 2019 Start date on Netflix: 27 November 2019

Frozen 2

Aw, how cute. «Frozen» is already six years old. And, judging by the trailer, the franchise seems to be growing up with its fans who used to be mainly kids at the time. The animations, which look incredibly well done, have the same feel about them. Yes, this is the perfect film for the coming winter months.

Oh, and: «You can’t just follow me into fire!» – «Then don’t run into fire!»

Logic beats everything.

Release date in Swiss cinemas: 22 November 2019

The King’s Man

«Reputation is what people think of you. Character is what you are». This is what the Duke of Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) says to Conrad (Harris Dickinson), his protege. These are the type of father-son dialogues I liked so much in the first «Kingsman» movie in scenes with Harry played by Colin Firth and Eggsy played by Taron Egerton.

Firth and Egerton aren't in the «Kingsman» prequel, but other highly decorated actors are – as well as director Matthew Vaughn, who returns to the franchise for the third time. I can't wait to witness the beginnings of the «first independent intelligence agency». How about you?

Release date in Swiss cinemas: 14 February 2020

I'm an outdoorsy guy and enjoy sports that push me to the limit – now that’s what I call comfort zone! But I'm also about curling up in an armchair with books about ugly intrigue and sinister kingkillers. Being an avid cinema-goer, I’ve been known to rave about film scores for hours on end. I’ve always wanted to say: «I am Groot.»
