The Samsung NEO G9 has small dimming zones and can thus generate a real black level. I can't find any information about local dimming zones on the LC although it is supposed to be a QD monitor. Does anyone have more info?
I was able to do some research and QD stands for Quantum Dot, which is supposed to be a nanoparticle coating for more beautiful and more colours. In contrast to the LC Power monitor, the Samsung monitor has a mini LED backlight, which produces the local dimming zones. According to Samsung, there are 2048 zones. The LC-Power monitor, on the other hand, has "normal" edge lighting. This is because the manufacturer does not specify any mini LEDs or dimming zones, but only QLED-VA, which would mean: Quantum Dot, LED (Edge), VA Panel.
