The AKG K240 Studio is a semi-open studio headphone for mixing and recording. It offers neutral and unadulterated reproduction for reliable music judgement. The semi-open design combines the advantages of open and closed construction. Sound from outside is insulated, as is crosstalk from the headphones. At the same time, the heat exchange is better than with a closed model and the spatiality is more natural. The bass reproduction is clear and undistorted. The special diaphragms are thicker in the centre than at the thin edge (AKG's patented Varimotion technology). Compared to normal diaphragms, this improves the vibration characteristics and the impulse behaviour is much more precise. The resulting stereo image enables precise localisation. The circumaural ear pads ensure good wearing comfort. The headband automatically adjusts to the size of the head. The cable is connected via a mini XLR plug and can be easily replaced.
