Product details
Convincing stereo recordings require, in addition to microphones with excellent sound characteristics and outstanding quality, the highest possible consistency in the frequency response of the microphone pair with practically identical sensitivities. Therefore, each pair of AKG C414 XLII microphones is assembled from two perfectly matched individual microphones.
The set is determined using a sophisticated computer algorithm that compares the measurement data of thousands of microphones. The two C414 microphones assigned to each other in this way differ in terms of sensitivity and individual frequency response in cardioid mode between 300 Hz and 8 kHz by less than 1 dB.
These are the prerequisites for stunning, three-dimensional recordings. When used for stereo recordings, a good and stable balance is achieved without frequency-dependent shifts in the panorama.
Delivery includes: 2x C414 XLII, 2x mounts, 2x stand adapters, stereo bar, 2x windshields, 2x dust protection bags, case.
Summary: Versatile large-diaphragm condenser microphone with 9 polar patterns to adapt to the recording situation. High-resolution sound with a slight presence boost, especially for vocals and solo instruments that need to stand out in the mix. Low self-noise and high maximum sound pressure level for recording very dynamic signals. Key lock to prevent adjustment of settings. Delivered including metal case, pop and wind shield, dust protection bag.
