The Alphacool Apex Backplate LGA1700 is designed for compatibility with Alphacool's Eisbaer AIOs and XPX coolers, making them suitable for Intel's LGA1700 platform.

This backplate replaces the standard CPU mount from Intel on the back of the motherboard and prevents bending of the LGA 1700 socket during cooler installation. This protects the motherboard and allows for even and optimal pressure for all Alphacool XPX CPU water coolers, Eisbaer AIOs, and their solo variants. This results in a significant improvement in cooling performance.
