What counts in the end: Who offers the best package? And a super-fast processor alone is not enough. The test winner was Intel's Core i7-14700K. The 20-core processor was extremely fast, its graphics chip offered a decent speed and it left nothing to be desired in terms of energy consumption...

The AM5 Ryzen 5 7600X Tray - A Powerful Processor for Demanding Applications and Gaming
The AM5 Ryzen 5 7600X Tray is a powerful processor specifically designed for demanding applications and gaming. Here are five technical highlights that make this processor a must-have for any PC enthusiast:
4.7 GHz Clock Speed: The Ryzen 5 7600X is one of the fastest processors on the market, offering a clock speed of up to 4.7 GHz. This means it delivers excellent performance even in demanding applications and games.
6 Cores and 12 Threads: With 6 cores and 12 threads, the Ryzen 5 7600X can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, providing outstanding multitasking performance. This allows you to run several applications at once without your system slowing down.
38 MB Cache: The Ryzen 5 7600X features a large 38 MB cache that further enhances the processor's performance. The cache is a fast memory that stores frequently used data to speed up access.
105 Watt TDP: The Ryzen 5 7600X has a TDP of 105 watts, meaning it has a higher power consumption than some other processors. However, this also allows for greater performance and better efficiency in demanding applications and gaming.
Support for DDR4 Memory: The Ryzen 5 7600X supports DDR4 memory, which is faster and more efficient than older DDR3 memory. This means you will benefit from higher memory bandwidth and improved performance when using DDR4 memory with this processor.

- Outperforms Zen 3 CPUs and the Core i9-12900K in the single-core range
- Manual and PBO overclocking support
- Extremely energy efficient
- Integrated RDNA 2 iGPU in the I/O die
- Integrated Wraith Stealth cooler
- Can't keep up with the Core i5-13600K in CPU benchmarks

- Gaming performance
- Application performance
- Efficiency in Eco Mode
- DDR5 and PCie 5.0 support
- Price for CPU and AM5 platform
- Power consumption ex works
- Good single core performance
- Significant increase in performance compared to the predecessor
- Good at gaming
- Could be better in multi-core tests
- Increased TDP
- Gets very hot
In testing with initial benchmarks, the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X shows significant performance gains compared to its predecessor - 10 to 30 per cent, sometimes even more. In addition, you get a quite powerful integrated GPU. However, all this comes at a price: both the necessary cooling performance and the system performance grow, and even the purchase price moves into the next higher performance class.
- High speed at Office
- Photo and video editing
- New mainboard and memory required
The 7900X is the new number 1 among the top CPUs - AMD is thus extending the gap to its big rival Intel. And because the Ryzen 7000X processors now also have a graphics chip on board, there is less and less reason to buy the competitor's chips. However, the 7600X could not beat its cheaper rival 12600K.
