Each 1.6V battery is monitored individually in the charger. The charger is suitable for 1 to 4 Nickel-Zinc NiZn batteries of size AAA or AA, with a maximum charging current of 500mA. It is only suitable for 1.6V NiZn batteries. Thanks to the intelligent voltage monitoring and safety timer, the charging process is automatically terminated as soon as the battery is fully charged. Defective or incorrectly inserted NiZn batteries, as well as NiMH/NiCd batteries, are automatically detected and not charged. Nickel-Zinc batteries have a true voltage of 1.6 volts, making them very suitable for use in devices designed for a high voltage level, such as alkaline batteries with their 1.5 volts.
