The Freezer 50 is compatible with Intel's new Alder Lake processors thanks to the LGA1700 mounting kit. Although the socket and heat spreader have increased in size compared to the predecessor, the CPU die surface has been reduced and remains centered. The Direct Touch heat pipes of the Freezer 50 fully cover this area. We provide the necessary mounting kit free of charge to customers who submit proof of purchase for a processor with an LGA1700 socket.
