The ear cups of the LCD-XC are made of robust lightweight carbon, which has excellent shielding properties. Carbon reduces vibrations to a minimum and contributes to lifelike undistorted sound reproduction. The housings are made of precision-engineered anodized aluminum with beveled ear pads. They are padded with specially manufactured foam and provide just the right amount of firmness for a comfortable fit and acoustic balance. The lightweight airy steel and leather headband makes wearing the LCD-XC comfortable even during long listening sessions.
