The BPHS1 is a robust broadcast stereo headset with closed ear cups that completely cover the ears, and a professional microphone attached to a boom arm that can be positioned on either side of the head. It is specifically designed and optimized for on-air or live reporting, as well as for sports commentary, hosting, and interviews. The flexible gooseneck microphone boom can be easily swiveled to either the right or left side of the head for convenient positioning. At the heart of the headphones is a 40 mm neodymium driver that delivers impressive performance characteristics and is ideal for handling high maximum sound pressure levels.

The microphone features a cardioid pickup pattern and a frequency response tailored for the natural capture of speech with maximum intelligibility. Due to its design, the microphone is more sensitive to sound that directly hits the capsule element from the front. Closed ear cups ensure isolation from audience noise and other background sounds. Neodymium magnets in both the microphone and headphones provide a high output level and detailed, smooth sound reproduction. The robust construction with replaceable cables and ear pads, along with the cardioid pickup pattern of the dynamic microphone, ensures strong directionality and rejection of sound not coming from the speaking direction. The microphone attached to the boom arm can be mounted on either the right or left side of the head.
