This adapter kit is ideally suited for situations where long or hard-to-reach coaxial cables are already in place, as it enables both Power over Ethernet (PoE) and centralized power supply over these cables. The AXIS T8640 can be used in installations that require PoE transmission over distances greater than 100 meters. The LED display on the easy-to-install AXIS T8640 provides a straightforward way to check the status of the network and power supply over the cable. The AXIS T8640 includes the AXIS T8641 PoE+ over Coax base unit and the AXIS T8642 PoE+ over Coax device unit.
