Network isolators enable galvanic network isolation for medical electrical devices and systems according to DIN EN 60601-1. The galvanic network isolations are passive electronic components without their own power supply. They behave completely transparently in the data network, so the installation of drivers or additional software is not necessary.

The MI 1005 has been tested under stress conditions and guarantees up to 10 kV DC (10 seconds) insulation strength and 5 kV AC (60 seconds). Additionally, it easily meets 8 kV contact discharge and 16 kV air discharge.
