Intensive use of a conventional computer mouse can lead to discomfort such as tingling, pain, and/or restricted blood circulation in the arms and hands. Another symptom is limited neck rotation. As functional as the standard computer mouse may be, it is often too small for the hand, and its shape forces the hand and fingers into an unnatural grip. Therefore, a group of mechanical engineers, in close collaboration with the Medical Center of Erasmus University in the Netherlands, has redesigned the mouse and invented the ergonomic mouse called the HandShoe Mouse. It is suitable for hand sizes between 175 mm and 195 mm.
