The Catapult Mini is a compact passive audio snake that allows the transmission of four channels of analog audio over a standard Cat 5 or Cat 6 Ethernet cable.

The Catapult Mini system functions like a typical four-channel analog audio snake, enabling the sending of microphone or line-level signals from one location to another without signal loss, noise, or interference, and without digital audio conversion. What makes the Catapult system unique is its use of Cat 5 Ethernet cables, which are widely available, lightweight, and cost-effective. Simply connect a shielded Cat 5 cable between two Catapult modules, and they will utilize the analog conductors in the cable to deliver four balanced audio channels to any destination.

The Catapult modules do not require power, and since they keep the signal in the analog domain, no digital conversion is necessary. A direct connection from the XLR connectors to the RJ45 plug on a Cat 5 cable ensures that your audio is transmitted without coloration or distortion.

As many buildings are already wired for Cat 5, you can take advantage of this to transmit audio between distant rooms without the need to install or provide new cables. This eliminates the need for bulky and expensive multi-channel audio cables and allows contractors to benefit from already installed network cables, making it easy to connect from one room to another.

Three versions of the Catapult Mini are available: The Mini TX features female XLR connectors, the Mini RX has male XLRs, and the Mini TRS is equipped with ¼" TRS jacks for a balanced connection to any professional audio device.
