Product details
With the Evolution, Cougar offers a subtly designed black big tower that impresses with its appearance, features, and cooling performance. The front is entirely made of mesh, which is overlaid by a coarser grid. This design continues at the rear part of the top. The front section includes a hot-swap slot for a 2.5- or 3.5-inch drive, a port kit with two USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and audio connections, and a fan controller that allows for separate control of two groups of three fans each.
The left side features a large window and the decorative "Evolution" lettering, as well as space for a 140mm fan that can directly cool the graphics card. Both side panels are indented in relevant areas to provide more space for CPU coolers and cable management.
Six additional fans can be accommodated inside - two 120mm fans in the front and top, one at the back, and optionally one 120mm or 140mm fan at the bottom. The air intake at the bottom, as well as the front and power supply, is equipped with dust filters. A 120mm fan is already pre-installed at the front and back - an optional second fan can be mounted in the lower three 5.25-inch bays, of which there are a total of six, all equipped with tool-less locks.
But not only is the ventilation impressive, the internal dimensions are also suitable for powerful hardware - graphics cards can be up to 305mm long, depending on the configuration of the drive bays. The Evolution tower also offers more than enough space for drives - in addition to six external 5.25-inch bays, one of which can also accommodate 3.5-inch devices, there are four internal bays for 3.5- or 2.5-inch drives.
