Even today, 1D barcodes are still used in many areas. The Datalogic QuickScan QBT2131 linear imager is a further development of the conventional laser scanner. It quickly and reliably captures common 1D barcodes and is particularly reliable because it has no moving parts.

The QBT2131 offers both an extended scan line and a wider scan angle. This makes it easier to handle and scan longer barcodes because the scanning distance does not increase. With Bluetooth transmission, users move freely within up to 25 m of the base station, wirelessly. Should the scanner ever lose connection to the station, it will store around 500 barcodes even when out of range. By using Bluetooth HID, the scanner also supports connections to devices with Android and iOS operating systems. The 1,400 mAh battery can be recharged directly in the scanner using a micro-USB cable, ensuring uninterrupted operation. KBW/IBM/RS-232 and USB interface are available for integration.
