The lightning rod is available separately and can be combined, for example, with connection clamps for steel beams. It is designed to protect PV ground-mounted systems or carports with PV systems from direct lightning strikes. The lightning rod is secured using two clamp brackets on the metal substructure of the PV modules, with a spacing of 15-20 cm between the clamps and a free length of 80-85 cm to be observed. When installed correctly, it provides mechanical strength and a lightning current carrying capacity of 100 kA (10/350 µs).
