This serial adapter for cable extension from Delock is suitable for all serial interfaces. It connects devices such as printers, computers, gateways, cash register systems, etc. The adapter provides a simple solution for transmitting serial data from RS-232/422/485 interfaces using a Cat.5 cable within an existing cabling infrastructure.

A standard Category 5 (Cat.5) cable has significantly better transmission characteristics than a standard RS-232 cable. It allows for higher data rates to be transmitted over longer distances without additional signal amplification.
