The DIGITUS USB-C Serial Adapter provides a practical solution for enabling serial connectivity. A serial RS485 interface is no longer available on newer hardware. The DIGITUS USB-C Serial Adapter allows data exchange between a USB-C port on a computer and peripheral devices with a serial interface (COM port, RS485), such as weather stations, sensors, machine controls, set-top boxes, game consoles, PDAs, scanners, modems, ISDN adapters, and many other peripherals. The USB 2.0 adapter is backward compatible with USB 1.1 and supports customizable baud rates ranging from 75 bits to 128,000 bits per second. The individually configurable FTDI FT232RL+SP485 chipset ensures compatibility with all common operating systems. Additionally, it supports power management and remote wake-up. Power is supplied via the USB port, and no separate power supply is required.
