Product details
Light yet powerful. The Roto gearbox consists of a first planetary stage, followed by a second spur gear stage and a third stage with two rolling cutters. In short, this results in sufficient extrusion force to fully utilize the maximum volumetric flow rates of our Revo High Flow nozzles while ensuring a favorable failure mode for motor shutdown.
Maintenance-conscious. Special attention was given to user-friendliness in the development of Roto. To access the rolling cutters, only three screws need to be removed to take off the heat sink and the filament path, while the extruder housing remains mounted in place. We have also revamped the filament tensioning system and developed a simple, bi-stable mechanism that either provides optimal tension or completely releases it, making filament loading and cold pulls easier. This means you can change the nozzle and release the filament with one hand.
Cool design. Roto features the first 3D-printed metal heat sink of its kind. SLM 3D printing allowed us unprecedented design freedom, meaning the design has been highly optimized beyond the obvious coolness factor of this technology. The heat sink prevents creeping heat by reducing thermal buildup through conduction and directing air through the air break to interrupt heat radiation from the hot side, resulting in the thermally most effective heat sink we have ever produced.
Standard or smart. The development of Roto does not stop at the basic performance features you are accustomed to. The sensor bundle expands your arsenal with filament monitoring, an action button, and monitoring of fan speed and heat sink temperature. With all these enhancements, you can meet your requirements.
