It is advantageous to charge the batteries only up to about 4.1 volts, as this significantly increases their lifespan and the number of charge cycles (potentially up to doubling). Only lithium-ion chargers should be used for charging. However, inexpensive chargers often have the disadvantage of not safely shutting off after the charging process ends, continuing to charge the batteries with a small current, which can be dangerous.
