The EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate - Acetal is a state-of-the-art addition to the EK Quantum Line. It is designed to complement the existing EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 water blocks and actively cools the back of all EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 FTW3 GPUs. The EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate comes with a new connector that replaces the standard connector provided with the Vector water block, linking the water block and the Vector Active Backplate into a single unit. This way, the entire setup only requires one inlet and one outlet, eliminating unnecessary additional tubing and reducing clutter. It is the ultimate aesthetic and performance solution, embedding the GPU between two water blocks for maximum cooling. The Vector Active Backplate directly cools the PCB hotspots located on the back of the GPU core and the VRM (Voltage Regulation Module). For the RX 3090, the VRAM is cooled from the back, while the RTX 3080 receives cooling for the PCB surrounding the front-mounted VRAM. The coolant flows through all these critical areas. These active backplates feature a fin arrangement with 8 wide channels, allowing for very low flow restriction. This, in turn, enables overall lower temperatures while providing more than sufficient surface area for heat transfer.
