It has been developed to improve image brightness, with accurate colour fidelity, and increase perceived contrast. Screens with CineGrey 3D, such as the Elite Screens Sable Frame, are suitable for living rooms and special home cinema rooms. When used with an ISF-certified home cinema projector, perfect picture quality is guaranteed. Compared to a matt white surface, the CineGrey 3D prevents "wash-out" of images when daylight cannot be controlled. Compared to CineGrey 5D, a screen with CineGrey 3D screen fabric offers the compromise of a projected image with a balanced colour temperature and contrast with slightly reduced image brightness (1.2 GAIN instead of 1.5 GAIN).
