The SC-P20500 uses a PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead and an UltraChrome PRO 12-color ink set, which includes orange, green, and violet inks for a wider color gamut. The Black Enhanced Overcoat (BEO) technology provides deeper blacks, improved contrast, and better tonal quality, as well as reduced bronzing in dark areas on glossy media. This production printer offers impressive print speeds and 1.6-liter ink bags for less user intervention. In fact, the SC-P20500 requires about half the ink changes compared to its predecessor. Additionally, it features a self-encrypting SSD (960 GB) that allows for direct saving and printing from the touchscreen without the need for a PC. The SC-P20500 has a highly intuitive 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen. Loading heavy roll media is also very easy thanks to the roll adapter. The automatic nozzle check ensures reliable output by adjusting nozzle conditions. It detects issues and automatically makes adjustments to prevent nozzle clogging. Other features facilitate self-maintenance: an easily accessible cover, interior lighting near the printhead, easy access to the suction cap, and a dust cover that protects the printhead and media. The 1.6-liter ink bags consume less plastic per liter than conventional ink cartridges. The SC-P20500 meets ENERGY STAR Ver. 3.1 standards. The SC-P20500 is supported by an extensive Epson software suite, which includes Epson Edge Print PRO, Epson Media Installer, and easier connectivity to the Epson Cloud Solution PORT.
