The SC-P20500 utilizes a PrecisionCore MicroTFP print head and an UltraChrome PRO 12-color ink set, which includes orange, green, and violet inks to provide a wider color gamut. The Black Enhanced Overcoat (BEO) technology ensures deeper blacks, improved contrast, and better tonal range, as well as reduced bronzing in dark areas on glossy media.

Productivity
This production printer offers impressive print speeds and 1.6-liter ink bags for less user intervention. In fact, the SC-P20500 requires about half the ink changes compared to its predecessor. Additionally, it features a self-encrypting SSD (960 GB) that allows for direct saving and reprinting from the touchscreen without the need for a PC.

Ease of Use
The SC-P20500 is equipped with a highly intuitive 4.3-inch (10.9 cm) LCD touchscreen. Even loading heavy roll media is made very simple thanks to the roll adapter.

Reliability
The automatic nozzle check (Nozzle Verification Technology, NVT) ensures reliable output by adjusting nozzle conditions. It detects issues and automatically makes adjustments to prevent nozzle clogs. Additional features facilitate self-maintenance: an easily accessible cover, interior lighting near the print head, easy access to the suction cap, and a dust cover that protects the print head and media.

Environmental Focus
The 1.6-liter ink bags use less plastic per liter compared to conventional ink cartridges. The SC-P20500 meets ENERGY STAR Ver. 3.1 standards.
