The design of the mouse reduces the pronation of the wrist and forearm through a tilt that extends from the index finger to the little finger. The thumb rests comfortably in the designated indentation. The palm rest ensures that the wrist is supported, allowing the mouse to be moved with the entire forearm rather than just the wrist. This directs the movement from the shoulder area and increases blood circulation throughout the upper arm. Reducing wrist movement decreases strain on the forearm, and with the palm support, the wrist does not have to bear this load, which reduces pressure on the wrist. The unusually large palm rest eliminates friction between the little finger and the palm against the table.
