The PCI-Express FireWire 1394B (FireWire 800) card offers two external and one internal FireWire 1394B port, as well as an external 6-pin FireWire 1394A port. It is designed to expand PCs, small workstations, or servers with three additional FireWire 1394B and one FireWire 1394A high-speed port via the PCI Express bus, allowing for the connection of FireWire 800 IEEE 1394B and FireWire 400 1394A devices such as digital camcorders or high-resolution color printers. The EX-16415 provides a fast I/O solution that enables users to connect high-speed peripherals. A low-profile bracket for slim computer cases up to 8 cm in height is included with the EX-16415.

PCI Express interface compatible with the 1.0a specification.
"Hot swapping": Devices can be plugged in and removed without turning off the computer.
Can be installed in addition to the FireWire ports on the motherboard.
