The VMA00102 adapter allows you to connect headphones or a HiFi system via the HDMI-ARC port of a television, supporting both Full HD and Ultra HD. With this adapter, you can output sound from the TV through RCA (stereo) and a 3.5mm jack, using both outputs simultaneously. The volume can be conveniently controlled with the TV remote, as the adapter supports HDMI-CEC. The audio output works only in stereo mode, so the audio format on the TV must be set to "PCM" or "LPCM Stereo." Formats like Dolby Digital or multi-channel PCM are not supported and will result in no audio signal. The adapter converts the audio signal from HDMI to an analog stereo signal and outputs it via RCA and jack. A USB port is required for power, which can be provided by the TV, for example. The adapter then automatically turns on with the TV, eliminating the need for manual operation. The internal speakers of the TV usually turn off when HDMI-ARC is used.
