The VMA00201 adapter allows for the simultaneous operation of headphones and a soundbar through the TV's HDMI-ARC port. It outputs audio both as stereo through the 3.5mm jack and as multi-channel sound (Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1) via HDMI. The adapter downmixes the multi-channel audio to stereo and enables volume control for both outputs via the TV remote (through HDMI-CEC). When both devices are connected, the soundbar's volume is adjusted while the headphone output remains at maximum volume. Power is supplied via a USB cable, and the adapter turns on automatically.
