The FiiO Jade Audio GIGAS 1 is an extremely powerful, purely analog desktop headphone amplifier. It was specifically designed to effortlessly drive even demanding over-ear models with uncompromising sound quality. Despite its power, the GIGAS 1 is remarkably compact. The name GIGAS is derived from the Greek word for giant and symbolically represents the unbridled power of this amplifier. Many over-ear headphones require a lot of power to unleash their full sonic potential. With up to 4.6 watts of output per channel in balanced operation, the GIGAS 1 plays your music with dynamism, precision, and maximum control. FiiO relies on a classic audiophile combination in the GIGAS 1: a precise operational amplifier preamp meets a discreetly built class-AB transistor power amplifier. The high-quality components guarantee stable signal processing with minimal distortion, a wide soundstage, and tight, controlled bass. Operation is very straightforward and simple directly on the device. On the top is a large volume control, and on the front is a switch for turning the device on and off as well as for setting the gain. The two gain stages allow for adjustment to different headphones. Power is supplied via USB-C, either with 5 V when maximum output power is not required, or with 12 V PD when more power is needed, especially on the balanced output. As the GIGAS 1 is a pure headphone amplifier, it can be flexibly operated with various devices: a small DAC, a portable music player, a CD player, a computer with a suitable audio output, or classic HiFi components.
