With the 12-month TV module from freenet TV, customers can receive up to 20 top programs from private channels in HD quality, in addition to the programs from public broadcasters via DVB-T2 and satellite on Astra 19.2 East. Customers who choose the freenet TV module can change their reception method flexibly at any time through their freenet TV customer account. To receive freenet TV with a TV module, an HD-capable receiver or television with a free CI+ slot is required. Additionally, it is important that the receiver is equipped with a suitable tuner for DVB-S for satellite reception or DVB-T2 for reception via antenna. The support for the reception format can be recognized by the blue DVB-S and/or green DVB-T2 logo. The installation of the TV module is very simple; it just needs to be inserted into a free CI+ slot, and the programs from freenet TV will be decrypted.

Customers of freenet TV do not need an additional smart card to decrypt freenet TV, as the decryption is already integrated into the hardware of freenet TV or the certified manufacturers. The reception of freenet TV programs is limited to Germany.
